The Pines is located in Northwest
Bay, Pelorus Sound. Part of the Marlborough sounds in the North of the
South Island of New Zealand. The Pines jetty is marked on NZ
Topographical Maps and the Marlborough Sounds Recreational Map.
Situated on the south side of the Bay it is accessible only by boat, but
is a well known area in the local town of Havelock approximately 40
minutes away.
We get all year round sunshine and the prevailing Northwest wind in
summer can offer some interesting sailing in the bay. A southerly wind
at any time of the year leaves the bay quiet and flat as a millpond,
great for waterskiing.
